Case Study: High Risk Construction Security
Request: To provide security services for the construction of a military Forward Operating Base in Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan, for the use of the Afghan National Army.
Solution: OSSI provided a comprehensive package of physical site security, personal security detail transportation, life support, and logistics services.
• Developed a Site Security Plan to ensure proper planning and responses for operating on a remote site in a war zone.
• Provided secure ground transportation for moving people to and from the site, as well as rotary wing helicopter transportation for special missions.
• Deployed a security force of CENTCOM-authorized armed guards, combining international and local national security personnel.
• Provided life support and accommodations to support the project, including logistics supply line from the closet town, 40km away.
• Obtained ITAR licensing to utilize protected security equipment in support of the operation.
• Installed electronic security systems, including alarms and tower-mounted pan/zoom, night vision, infrared cameras.

Case Study: Executive Protection
Request: To provide Executive Protection for a delegation from the New York Stock Exchange for a mission to Brazil.
Solution: OSSI arranged a team of International Close Protection Specialists with extensive experience living and working in Brazil to successfully support the security and transportation of the client.
• Close Protection Team included American and Brazilian security professionals, all fluent in Portuguese and accustomed to the Brazilian environment.
• Coordinated with regional Police and other Brazilian officials, without revealing the identity of the client, to facilitate all movements without compromising his security.
• Conducted reconnaissance of all transportation routes traveled and locations visited to ensure safe and seamless navigation.
Outcome: Mission completed without incident.

Case Study: Convoy Security & Trucking Logistics
Request: To provide a full-service, security-escorted trucking service to the US Department of Defense to assist the in movement of sensitive and non-sensitive equipment and materials between military bases throughout Iraq.
Solution: OSSI developed cost-effective system to support Task Order requests, deploying security and trucking vehicles to move freight across Iraq.
• Provided comprehensive trucking service, including all packing materials, on-loading and off-loading equipment, towing capabilities, and integrated satellite tracking.
• Created a project specific set of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure repeated safety and quality assurance, while complying to all war zone movement authorization, US Military, and Iraqi authority requirements.
• Secured sensitive missions with convoy security teams comprised of experienced international and local national security operators.
• Utilized armored vehicles and hardened vehicles to escort the truck convoys, while maintaining constant communication with regional military authorities.
• Developed positive relations with key Iraqi military officials to facilitate movements in and out of the Green Zone and other check points, through respect, mutual understanding of the mission’s importance, and cultural sensitivity.
Outcome: OSSI became the primary US Department of Defense provider, winning 94% of all task orders under contract and developing a reputation for service excellence.

Case Study: Natural Disaster Relief in Haiti
Request: To provide immediate security support for a USAID post-earthquake rubble remediation project in Cité Soleil, Haiti.
Solution: OSSI mobilized a guard force of 50 personnel, including local national and international security personnel within 72 hours from time of request.
• Positioned international security personnel to the region prior to request, to provide on-the-ground situation awareness and capabilities.
• Screened and vetted all local security personnel prior to mobilization, through Haitian military and police databases.
• Provided pre-mobilization security training on compliance to OSSI site security Standard Operating Procedures, as well as continuous on-the-job training and evaluation.
• Deployed a personal security detail, including international and local close protection officers and armored vehicles for transportation services.
• Understood the desperate situation facing many Haitian post-earthquake and took an appropriately non-obtrusive security approach, working closely with local community leaders to assist in matters outside the scope of work of the project to portray a positive mission approach.
Outcome: The USAID project removed large quantities of rubble material without major security incident.
